R Bandits May Bar, better known as 'Skeeter' came to us as a yearling. Started at three years old she was used as a spare horse for friends and family to ride when a quiet mount was needed. Like most 'Ridennoure Paints' she is very forgiving and was willing enough to pack less experienced riders down the trail. When Skeeter was four, in 2006, Bibs needed a horse to show and because Skeeter had become rather 'thick' toward her rider's aids, being ridden by so many people, most with different and/or little riding skills, she spent six weeks at Randy Ophus Performance Horses for some fine tuning. Three weeks after she returned home she cleaned up at her first APHA show, earning points in four different events as well as winning the All-Around High Point Buckle.
Since then Skeeter has earned ROMs in Reining, Trail and Western Pleasure, won numerous high point buckles and blankets and has APHA points in everything from Showmanship to Hunter Hack. In 2009 she added Ranch Cutting and Working Cow Horse (green as grass) to her list of disciplines and earned a pay check in team cattle sorting.
Not only does Skeeter stay calm and cool in the show ring, she is a solid and steady bush horse that will go almost anywhere.
Her first colt was sold as a stallion prospect to the Yukon and she will be bred to Tristan for a 2011 foal.
