With his first show season almost over, Tristan has proven himself to be a versatile and level-headed performance horse and we haven't even come close to tapping into his full potential yet. With just a few months under saddle he is what we would call 'well started' and has a good foundation under saddle. He is a lot of fun to ride and carries himself very well. After the BVX he is going to be turned out with a couple of his 'girls' and will be allowed to be 'just a horse' for the long winter months. Come spring he will be conditioned for his 2011 show season while we are awaiting his first foals. 
So far he has won the free style reining challenge at the Three In One Show in Smithers, and earned points in WP, HUS, Trail and Halter, with a total of four all-around high point awards. 
His high performance pedigree is absolutely proving its worth.
     

Gold Bar Tristan - 2007 Dunalino APHA Stallion.

'Gold BarTristan' is a son of 2007 APHA World Champion Working Cow Horse and three time Champion Open Horse, 'Gay Bar Drummer'. Drummer's accomplishments are too numerous to list here. From Roping to Reining he has won many prestigious awards along the way.
Tristan's maternal grandsire 'QT Poco Streke' has left his mark on the Reining world and also produced his own line of champions in various disciplines. 
Tristan has the breeding and athletic ability to be highly competetive himself.
